Trapp Family Lodge is home to the first cross-country ski center in the country, and it’s the largest in Stowe. But cross-country skiing isn’t the only winter activity you can enjoy here; backcountry skiing and snowshoeing are also popular activities at our resort. So if you’re planning a winter vacation in Vermont, Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe is the perfect choice.
With more than nine miles of groomed trails and access to more than 35 miles of nearby trails throughout the White River National Forest, the Keystone Nordic Center is a haven for outdoor recreation. Choose from classic, skate skis, or snowshoes for your next adventure.
New to the sport? The Nordic Center offers lessons and guided hikes throughout the winter season. After your next day out, warm up inside the Nordic Soup Bistro featuring hearty and healthy homemade classics that will warm you from the inside out. The Nordic Center also offers a bar with beer, wine, soft drinks, and light snacks available.

Many trails feature interpretive signs providing for a more enlightening and meaningful visit. The "Kiddy Kilometer" loop is sure to keep the youngest skiers engaged with life size animal cut outs and flip up signs.
The Wood River Valley is truly Nordic Town USA come winter. Boasting fantastic beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain, excellent snow for Nordic skiing, and almost perpetual sunny skies, the area offers over 200km of expertly groomed Nordic trails each year. The BCRD manages, maintains and grooms over 160km of terrain including over 50km of trails around Galena Lodge located in the heart of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area.

Situated in the heart of the Hudson Valley, the park is nestled in the 16,000 acre Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park. FWP offers 18 km of machine groomed, tracked and mapped trails for beginning and expierenced skiers and snowshoers. Families find the park particularly enjoyable because it offers easy terrain to ski on near the lodge. The sledding hill and hot chocolate to sip in front of the outdoor fireplace are nice compliments to day-long trips.
The Park features a warming lodge with ski rentals, food, beverages, and restrooms. Rentals are available on a first come, first served basis. The Winter Park is located at an elevation of 1,100 feet which helps capture addition snow during storms. Along with a forested northwest trail system, this helps maintain a good snow base.

Our 15km of groomed trails around the ranch are great for classic and skate skiing. The terrain is geared towards a beginner or intermediate skier, with loops taking you through open meadows, over babbling creeks, and into the aspens.
Grab some gear and head out before breakfast for a sunrise ski or just get out there and enjoy the trails during the day when you just want to enjoy the peace and quiet on your own.
A converted horse barn houses our rental shop and warming room. We have rentals to fit all sizes: skis 70 cm. to 210cm and boots from kids size 9 to adult size 15. We also rent snowshoes. Bring your younger children along and ski while they enjoy the ride behind you in a pulk sled.

The Mountain Dell Recreation Cross Country Ski Area is maintained and operated by volunteers from non-profit The Utah Nordic Alliance (TUNA). The crew strives to set fresh track, classic and skate, daily when there is sufficient snow coverage. The ski area is located adjacent to Interstate 80 exit 134. It is 6 miles east of Salt Lake City and 15 miles west of Park City, Utah on the Mountain Dell golf course. Approximately 10 kilometers of track in 5 loops offer classic and skate skiing for all ability levels. Detailed maps, weather and grooming conditions are available on the website (www.utahnordic.org). Daily track fee or annual trail pass required. No dogs are allowed, even in the parking area or vehicles. Mountain Dell and TUNA are proud partners with Salt Lake City Watershed.
There are six Nordic Ski areas in the Telluride Region. Trails at Priest Lake and Trout Lake are maintained by Telluride Nordic Association. Detailed information, including downloadable maps for trails maintained by TNA and the Town of Telluride are available by visiting the links for each trail. Gunstock is New Hampshire’s closest major ski area to Boston with breathtaking views of lake Winnipesaukee, perfect for a family vacation or weekend getaway for two. We make snow for our Nordic trails, and at the peak of the season, enjoy up to 24km of groomed trails. All the Nordic trails are multi-use, so bring your classic or skate skis, snowshoes, fat bike, or dog for skijoring.
Catamount offers over 35 kilometers of cross country ski trails groomed for both classical and skate techniques. The terrain is varied with both flat and hilly trails and includes both wooded and open sections that offer beautiful views and scenic vistas. We have marked loops with colored arrows for ease of navigation. Trail passes are available for the day (any 4 hours or less or a full day) or you can enjoy the benefits of a Winter Season Pass and ski as often as you like. Come out and explore the property! We offer a full service rental center with equipment from Salomon for both adults and kids. Warm up in our rustic lodge and enjoy hot chocolate, coffee, and tea. No dogs please.
Inland Woods + Trails offers groomed recreation trails and rentals for fat tire bikes, snowshoes, and cross-country skis during the winter months. 25km of ski trails for both classic and skate skiing offer beautiful mountain views and are suitable for skiers of all ability levels. An additional 10 miles of mostly wooded trails are available for fat tire biking and snowshoeing. Connector trails lead adventurous skiers to Gould Academy's 12km trail system, where expert ski terrain abounds. The Inland Woods + Trails Winter Trail Center is typically open December through March from 9am-4pm daily and is accessed from the lower floor of The Bethel Resort & Suites, just next door to The Millbrook Tavern. We opened the Weston Ski Track at the DCR’s Leo Martin Golf Course in 1974. We offer night skiing, rentals, instruction and snow making along the scenic banks of the Charles River only one mile away from the Riverside T station!

As the venue for the Nordic events at the 2010 Winter Games, the Park features nearly 55 kilometres of world-class ski trails, ranging from easy to advanced in difficulty.

Our quiet, family run resort on Minnesota's north shore of Lake Superior is your retreat from the world. Harris Farm X-C Ski Center has 40k of trails that ramble across the open fields and through the sheltered forest of our 500 acre dairy and tree farm.Trails range from gentle beginners' loops to rolling terrain for more advanced skiers. Thirty kilometers are groomed with wide skating lanes and 35 kilometers are track set. The warming hut houses a common room with wood stove, retail and rental equipment,ski shop and restrooms. Open for skiing 7 days a week when we have snow. WOOF: mid-week all trails open to dogs.
Eastman boasts 32 km of impeccably groomed trails that stretch out over the championship golf course, meander through the woods along a crystal clear brook and glide over rolling hills in John’s Glen. Eastman offers trails for all ability levels, competitive rates, and our PSIA certified instructors are ready to introduce you to the sport or help you expand your skills. A full line of rental equipment is available, as well as snowshoes and ice skates. Throughout the season there are variety of special events that make Eastman Cross Country Center the ideal place to spend the day with family and friends.
Winter activities include 15 kilometers of machine groomed trails. Our snowmaking system guarantees skiing all season along 5k of trails. Dedicated snowshoe trails, 600' long tubing hill, fat bike trail network and guided wine & cheese snowshoe tours. Base lodge, lessons & rentals. The Grafton Inn, located just 3/4 mile away with lodging, pub and fine dining. Grafton Trails is part of the Windham Foundation, whose mission is to promote Vermont's rural communities. This intown network connects Intervale, Kearsarge, and North Conway. Stay and ski free packages available, many trailside location. Our events include weekly guided snowshoe walks and snowshoe yoga along with two annual fundraisers, the Whitaker Woods Snowshoe Scramble in January and our popular annual Inn-to-Inn Chocolate Festival in February. Intown trails are open to Fat Tire bikes based on conditions, and dogs.
Winter transforms the Adirondacks into a frozen oasis of snow for skiing & snowshoeing!
