The Mountain Dell Recreation Cross Country Ski Area is maintained and operated by volunteers from non-profit The Utah Nordic Alliance (TUNA). The crew strives to set fresh track, classic and skate, daily when there is sufficient snow coverage. The ski area is located adjacent to Interstate 80 exit 134. It is 6 miles east of Salt Lake City and 15 miles west of Park City, Utah on the Mountain Dell golf course. Approximately 10 kilometers of track in 5 loops offer classic and skate skiing for all ability levels. Detailed maps, weather and grooming conditions are available on the website (www.utahnordic.org). Daily track fee or annual trail pass required. No dogs are allowed, even in the parking area or vehicles. Mountain Dell and TUNA are proud partners with Salt Lake City Watershed.

Nordic United grooms several trails for cross country skiing in coordination with the Cache Valley Fat Bike Collective who groom trails for snow biking.
In 2018 there were over 4300 winter visits to Green Canyon! If you enjoy the trails, please join or make a donation. We receive no funding from the Forest Service for grooming. Each time we groom it costs approximately $100 in fuel, maintenance, snowmobile expenses and volunteer time.
The next time you see a groomer on the trail, thank them for all the hard work! You can contact the NU Grooming Coordinator if you want to volunteer or have grooming suggestions.
There are also ungroomed trails in the valley and the mountains that you can tour on classic cross country skis
