Northfield Mountain has more than 25 miles of trails designed specifically for cross country skiing and groomed for both classical and free-style skiing. Our trails offer some of the finest Nordic skiing in the region, from beginner trails to the demanding 800-foot vertical climb of Tenth Mountain Trail. Hikers, dogs and other pets are excluded from our trails during the ski season.

We opened the Weston Ski Track at the DCR’s Leo Martin Golf Course in 1974. We offer night skiing, rentals, instruction and snow making along the scenic banks of the Charles River only one mile away from the Riverside T station!

With 27 km of groomed tracks and skate lanes and extensive backcountry trails, there's fun and adventure for skiers of all levels. Maple Corner Farm Cross Country Ski Center, a working family farm since 1812, has a friendly atmosphere that the whole family can enjoy. The Center is located in the foothills of the Berkshires and has an elevation of 1,400 feet. A large ski warm up area with beginner trails is located right behind the ski lodge. There are 20 kilometers of marked ski trails from beginner to expert, machine groomed for traditional and skating styles. We also have 10 km. of snowshoe trails.

Bringing the finest cross country skiing to eastern Massachusetts!
Catch the spirit of winter at Great Brook Farm State Park! Located only 25 miles from downtown Boston, Great Brook Ski Touring Center provides over 10 miles of machine-groomed trails for cross country skiing from December 1 to March 20, snow conditions permitting.
The trails include all levels of difficulty and explore the beautiful landscape of farmland, forests, streams and ponds at 1,000-acre Great Brook Farm State Park. Skiers can stride past fields and a working dairy farm on the easy Lantern Loop, venture through the quiet woods around Meadow Pond on the Pine Point Loop, or test their strengths on the hills of the more difficult Woodchuck Trail.
