With 8 kilometers of groomed Nordic Trails sitting at the perfect elevation for natural snowfall, it's hard to imagine a more scenic place to ski. Our Upper Loop trail offers breathtaking views of mountain valleys and peaks, while our Lower Loop trail winds its way through meadows and trees. Winding Trails, Inc. is an independent, 501 c-3 non profit organization located in the heart of the Farmington Valley. 350 acres of pristine woodlands, lakes, and wildlife provide a gorgeous setting for our Cross Country Ski Center. Established in 1972, the facilities have since undergone over 30 years of expansion and improvements. The Winding Trails Cross Country Ski Center offers both the beginner and experienced skier a high quality, enjoyable experience. Experience unlimited cross-country skiing high in the Berkshire Hills. 3,108 acres contain 40 km of trails, so there's always a new trail to explore. With 27 km of groomed tracks and skate lanes and extensive backcountry trails, there's fun and adventure for skiers of all levels. Cruise Circuit Trail, trek Minor trail, or try the challenging ascent of Judges Hill. Picnic in our two trail shelters. Warm up by the masonry heater in our comfortable lodge.nnWith an elevation above 2000 feet, Notchview averages 45 more inches of snow each year than the valleys below - we're often skiing until mid-March.
The largest connected nordic ski area in the country with over 200 km of groomed ski trails. Kids 17 and under SKI FOR FREE. Groomed daily, with scenic and varied terrain for all abilities, and multi-use trails allow dogs and fat bikes. On the East side of the Cascades, the Methow Valley enjoys sunny days and plenty of snow. Ski trails open and groomed mid-December through mid-March, and become bike/hike trails in summer months. The town of Winthrop has new restaurants, bookstore, bakery, sports shops, and lodging for all budget types.
Craftsbury is a unique, nonprofit, year-round resort in Vermont offering lodging, meals and outdoor programs for reasonable rates. The friendly atmosphere is complemented by simple lodging and buffet-style meals. The Center has recently taken over the nearby Highland Lodge trail system adding another 40km of higher-elevation connected trails. Craftsbury has reliable snow thanks to a powerful snowmaking installation, unique local climate, and intensive snow farming/grooming. During summer we offer rowing camps on our lake.
Just south of town, 8,000 feet up Casper Mountain is Natrona County's Casper Nordic Center where you can loose yourself in our natural beauty. Listen to the birds. Watch for deer. See valley views and vistas across the ravine. Enjoy our log day lodge with complete guest services & wonderful food. Surround yourself in the serenity of the trees and mountain. Our Cross Country Skiing Trails are located in our Nordic Area on Hollyburn Ridge just 30 minutes from the heart of downtown Vancouver, right at the city’s door step. 19 km of groomed & track set cross country ski trails (7.5 km of which are lit for night skiing) are yours to discover. Whether you are a skate or a classic skier, a beginner or an expert, there is terrain here for everyone. With the largest ski school in Canada our experts will get you out skiing in no time.

With 26 km of Nordic skiing at three different trails venues within five miles of town, the Bavarian village of Leavenworth has some of the most accessible skiing in the state. Our popular X/C system is the Icicle River Trail off Icicle Road. At the Ski Hill, we have downhill skiing, tubing, snowshoeing and 7 km of Nordic skiing (with 5 km lighted for night skiing), all at the same charming venue within minutes of downtown Leavenworth. Warm up and enjoy lunch at the historic Ski Hill Lodge. Full amenities are available in town including lodging, restaurants, ski rentals, sleigh rides and more.
Teacup Nordic is dedicated to cross-country skiing that's fun! Whether you're touring or skiing on racing gear, you'll enjoy 20 kilometers of groomed trails and the camaraderie of people who love cross country skiing. Teacup trails are next to Highway 35 in the Mt. Hood National Forest. The ski area is operated by the Teacup Lake Nordic Club, under a special use permit issued by the Mt. Hood National Forest, USDA Forest Service.
The Breckenridge Nordic Center is located just a minute’s drive from downtown Breckenridge and 90 minutes from Denver. It is a gold mine of skiing, snowshoeing, enchanting forests and epic mountain views.
Family friendly- An experience which will last with you forever as you explore our 1,400 acres of carefully groomed trails. If your children can walk, they can ski. If they can’t walk, they can be pulled in our easy to use and warm “pulk” sleds.

The Rangeley Lakes Trails Center is located in the heart of Maine's scenic western mountain and lake region. This area has an annual snowfall approaching 200 inches. Superb snow conditions plus fantastic terrain and grooming make Nordic skiing here a wonderful experience for novice to expert. We also have a growing network of scenic single-track trails for snowshoeing.
Trails groomed, on an as needed basis, for Classical skiing only. Numerous ski loop possibilities: most difficult outer loop (9.5K) containing several hills and scenic vistas; a more difficult inner loop (3.6K) which is level to gently rolling; an easier loop (1K) and six connecting trails (5.9K total) of varying difficulties. We're blessed with ample lake effect snowfall from late December thru late February. A Warming Hut, with wood burner is located next to the parking lot.
The 100% volunteer Pagosa Nordic Club maintains FREE groomed trails for all ability levels for skate & classic cross country skiing as well as snowshoeing. Our Pagosa Springs business sponsors provide ski and snowshoe rentals, ski lessons, shopping, lodging and dining in town. Our trails surround the town and the area. Maps are available from our business sponsors and throughout the town. Club memberships welcome. Donations accepted. Our mission "To enhance winter recreational opportunities in Pagosa Springs by maintaining accessible groomed winter trails for skate skiing, classic cross country skiing & snowshoeing for all ability levels and to encourage and promote the use of these winter trails through education, marketing and events".

Located on the Peninsula Recreation Area, the Frisco Nordic Center is just minutes from Frisco’s charming Main Street, offering an excellent high altitude facility for skate skiing, classic cross-country skiing and even snowshoeing, all with exceptional views of peaks in every direction. The Center offers 27k of ski trails, 10k of snowshoe trails, rentals, skate or classic lessons and ski tuning 7 days a week from their cozy cabin at 616 Recreation Way in Frisco, Colorado. The Frisco Nordic Center is also just steps from the Frisco Adventure Parks’ tubing hill and beginner ski/ride hill.
Crested Butte Nordic maintains 55 kilometers of immaculately groomed trails around the Town of Crested Butte and offers complete ski and snowshoe rental packages, private lessons, clinics, and tours, as well as fine yurt dining.
Galena lodge is a community owned day-lodge nestled in the Rocky Mountains 23 miles north of the Sun Valley Resort and Ketchum, Idaho. The lodge is located in the heart of the Boulder Mountains. We’re open daily in the winter and summer seasons serving lunch, special dinners, and operating as home base for cross-country skiers, mountain bikers, and hikers. We offer overnight lodging only in our semi-backcountry yurts.
Ashcroft Ski Touring operates out of the Ashcroft Adventure Lodge at the end of Castle Creek Road. At the Adventure Lodge, you may rent classic cross-country ski equipment, skate ski gear, or snowshoes. Individual and group lessons, as well as snowshoe and ski tours are available everyday. The winter season runs Thanksgiving day until early April.

Maple Corner Farm Cross Country Ski Center, a working family farm since 1812, has a friendly atmosphere that the whole family can enjoy. The Center is located in the foothills of the Berkshires and has an elevation of 1,400 feet. A large ski warm up area with beginner trails is located right behind the ski lodge. There are 20 kilometers of marked ski trails from beginner to expert, machine groomed for traditional and skating styles. We also have 10 km. of snowshoe trails.
Arizona Nordic Village (formerly Flagstaff Nordic Center) hosts year-round outdoor recreation on its 50 km of trails at 8,000 ft of elevation and above. Get away from it all and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of our mountain retreat. Lodging available in our camper cabins and yurts. Rent our main lodge & facilities for weddings, corporate retreats, birthday parties or special events. We have 6 km of dog-friendly skiing trails and 16 km for snowshoeing with your dog.
Quarry Road is a year-round outdoor recreation destination for people of all ages, abilities and walks of life from the greater Waterville area, across Maine and beyond.
Located just 2 miles from downtown Waterville, Quarry Road’s trails and open spaces provide outstanding opportunities for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, biking, walking, running, paddling.
The area offers 10.4 km (6.5 miles) of world-class groomed Nordic ski trails, and additional miles of backcountry snowshoe and hiking trails. Our state-of-the-art snowmaking system ensures an early start to the ski season and reliable snow conditions all winter.
Nestled in the foothills of the Taconic and Berkshire Mountains, PINERIDGE offers hundreds of acres of unspoiled wilderness. The trails wind through forests of hardwoods and evergreens. Deer, fox, turkey, beaver and otter are just some of the animals or tracks seen throughout PINERIDGE's wooded trails.
PINERIDGE provides 35 Km of fabulous woodland trails expertly groomed and track set. Ski along the picturesque Poestenkill Creek or up to an elevation of 1746 feet observing and enjoying views of the Taconic Range in New York State and Mount Greylock in Massachusetts.
After skiing, come back to the Lodge; enjoy a warm fire, hot refreshments and good company. Only a short drive east of the Capital District, in the center of Rensselaer County, PINERIDGE provides great skiing for all ages and abilities.
Ski or snowshoe with us and explore one of the Catskill Mountain's most beautiful winter wonderlands. Catch a glimpse of timid woodland creatures on hemlock shaded-trails in the pine-scented forest. Mountain Trails Cross Country Ski Center is nestled on the northern border of Tannersville, NY, located in the beautiful Northern Catskills.
We offer 35 kilometers of quiet nature trails on hundreds of forested acres that are groomed, track-set, and marked to their degree of difficulty. All of our trails are patrolled by the National Ski Patrol and our PSIA instructors offer ski lessons for all skill levels. We carry all the necessities and equipment for your skiing and snowshoeing enjoyment. Our Sales and Rental Shop is an authorized dealer of Alpina, Salomon, SWIX, and Tubbs.
The Angel Fire Resort Nordic Center offers over 12 km of groomed, classic and skate cross-country ski trails. Snowshoeing is also allowed on these trails.
The Nordic Center operates Friday – Sunday from 10 AM – 4 PM with extended hours during peak periods during the winter season. Operations are dependent on weather conditions so please call (575) 377-4488 to confirm hours during the winter season.
