Our Bethel ski center offers 55km of groomed trails along the Androscoggin River, into the woods and up Farwell Mountain with vistas of Sunday River, Carter Moriahs, the Mahoosucs and the Presidentials. Get away from the crowds, enjoy the mountain and river views, kick back and relax into the true nature of "Vacationland". We invite you to come and experience an authentic overnight adventure at one of our off-grid and trail-side cabins. Our private cross-country ski trails are expertly groomed for skating and classic. We also have terrain for the avid backcountry skier, snowshoer, or fat biker. Touring, skating and backcountry ski rentals are available, as well as snowshoes and fat bikes. Ski lessons and guided tours are also available for beginners through experts. Also we have a retail shop with cross country ski equipment including all touring, racing and backcountry needs, snowshoes, winter clothing and apparel.
Forbush Corner Nordic is a recreational non-profit 501(c)(3) cross country ski facility where you and your family can enjoy miles of rolling, wooded trails that are designed for all ability levels. Our entire trail system is groomed with large Pisten Bully snow cat(s) to provide the best classic tracks and skate lanes possible. We have also added a state of the art SMI snowmaking system (2 km figure 8 loop) that almost guarantees skiing for the majority of the winter. Forbush Corner Nordic is located in the Northern Michigan snowbelt which is a micro-climate that receives early and frequent snowfalls.
Northfield Mountain has more than 25 miles of trails designed specifically for cross country skiing and groomed for both classical and free-style skiing. Our trails offer some of the finest Nordic skiing in the region, from beginner trails to the demanding 800-foot vertical climb of Tenth Mountain Trail. Hikers, dogs and other pets are excluded from our trails during the ski season.
Cross Country skiing and snowshoeing are fun, easy to learn, inexpensive, and healthy ways to spend some of your free winter time. Since '79 we have taken pride in our wholesome natural foods cafe, unique laid-back atmosphere, curvy exciting trails, and backcountry ski specialty shop. Our day lodge provides close access to some of West Virginia's most treasured high country.
Across the grounds of the historic Mount Washington Resort and the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire, the Bretton Woods Nordic Center is one of the largest cross country ski areas on the East Coast. The 100 kilometer trail network crosses open fields, meanders through woods of spruce and fir, passes beaver ponds and mountain streams, and traverses open hardwood stands.

Voted as one of the top-three cross country ski areas in North America by USA Today, Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Center offers a modern fleet of rental equipment, a large selection of cross country apparel, fresh organic food from the Alder Creek Cafe and an après ski menu at the Trailside Bar. The center’s friendly, helpful staff includes experienced ski technicians, talented ski instructors as well as a professional and national/volunteer ski patrol.
The Aspen Snowmass Nordic Council has developed a valley trail system that not only provides a world class XC ski experience but also connects communities in the Roaring Fork Valley with over 90 kilometers of XC skiing and snowshoeing.
The Olympic Cross Country ski trails of Mt. Van Hoevenberg plays host to 50 km of rolling Adirondack terrain. Originally built for the Olympic games, all abilities now enjoy cross country skiing and snowshoeing at Mt. Van Hoevenberg.
Giants Ridge Cross Country Ski
Home to more than 60 kilometers of world-class nordic ski trails, Giants Ridge has long been a Minnesota cross country ski destination. In fact, the vast cross country trail system at Giants Ridge was originally designed and once served as a training center for U.S. Ski Team athletes. Today, the same expansive nordic trails at Giants Ridge traverse the Superior National Forest and offer a variety of cross country trail terrain for skiers of all ages and abilities, including green, blue and black trails.
Come see why our 39 km trail system is loved by so many. Beautiful and interesting trails wind through old woods, past classic Vermont scenery, around a busy beaver pond, and along side the West River. Our terrain is mixed from easy, short wooded loops that keep skiers out of the wind and near the ski center to longer treks out to picnic tables placed at scenic vistas. We meticulously groom 35 km of ski trails for both classic and skate ski techniques and have 4 km of dedicated snowshoe trails. Snowshoes are allowed on most of our ski trails and if conditions are right, fat bikes too.
The largest cross-country ski area in North America, Royal Gorge is known for its sweeping views of the Northern Sierra and eight distinct trail systems. Featuring 92 trails with over 140km of groomed, tracked trails for human-powered outdoor recreation spread across 6,000 acres, guests of all ages and ability levels are invited to try classic cross-country skiing, skate skiing and snowshoeing.
Nine different warming huts offer respite from the elements and a chance to take a break and soak in the peaceful tranquility of the mountains. Make your way to Royal Gorge this winter to stride through towering pines, expansive meadows, and enjoy stunning vistas that include some of the most majestic peaks in Tahoe.
BREIA is a not-for-profit corporation funded by a private family foundation, as a gift to the people of New York. Access to the trails and facilities is free, and donations are never accepted. The trails remain open throughout the year, and offer hiking and biking opportunities during the warm seasons.
The Adventure Center is the place to start and end your ski day, with a crackling fire and the camaraderie of our staff and new found skiing friends. We are located in Town Square, where you can access our 70+ km of trails. Trails are also accessible from the Alpine area once you have your ticket and gear. We groom for skate and classic skiing on our trails that traverse through the White Mountain Nation Forest. Snowshoeing is welcome on any trail and fat biking is welcome on select trails with purchase of trail pass.
Lapland Lake is a full-service cross country ski and snowshoe center. Our two-story warming lodge houses our ski rental and retail shop (featuring a full range of cross country ski and snowshoe equipment) plus soup, sandwiches, and more at our upstairs café. We offer private and group lessons for both children and adults. Visit for a day-long escape to enjoy some Adirondack skiing, or stay overnight in our four-season lodging. Our two to four bedroom cottages each have a fully equipped kitchen and cozy woodstove or propane fireplace heat. In the spring, summer, and fall we are open only to overnight lodging guests who enjoy hiking and mountain biking on our private trail system and seasonal use of our canoes, kayaks, rowboats, paddle boats, and swimming beach on Woods Lake.
Tucked away in a unique snow basin in the heart of snow country and enjoying some of the most reliable snowfalls in the East, Lapland Lake offers lengthy winter seasons, frequently beginning in November and continuing into April. Immerse yourself in the splendor of the Adirondack Preserve while gliding through majestic forests and alongside scenic streams and lakes while catching glimpses of white-tailed deer, otters, snowshoe rabbits and winter birds.
We take pride in our grooming at Lapland Lake and regularly make significant investments in equipment to obtain the best possible results. Impeccable attention to grooming, performed with a fleet of state-of-the-art equipment, results in superior snow surfaces for both in-track and skate skiing. Trails are groomed non-holiday midweek days with the same care and exacting attention to detail as they are groomed on weekends and holidays. Our private 38K groomed XC trail offers a mix of easy, intermediate, and difficult rated trails. Most groomed trails are one way, offering serene conditions even on busy days. We also offer 12K of ungroomed scenic snowshoe trail.”
Stowe Mountain Resort's Cross Country Ski Center offers 45 kilometers of groomed trails and 30 kilometers of backcountry terrain. At our rental shop, we offer a wide selection of nordic snowsport gear including snowshoes, touring gear, performance skate ski and classic ski packages, and backcountry gear. We also have a full selection of kids gear for children age 3 and older, including little snowshoes and sleds for the sledding hill. Also available is a pulk sled for parents with infants/toddlers.

Snow Mountain Ranch’s Nordic Center has more than 120 kilometers of world-class terrain for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing in the Colorado Rockies for everyone from first-time recreational participants to elite racers.
Beginners can ski on short easy loops around the Nordic Center while the experienced racer can train on longer expert trails with steeper climbs through forested terrain. Beyond cross country skiing, individuals, families, and groups can browse the extensive selection of rental equipment and gear available for purchase from the Nordic Center.
The Bogus Basin Nordic Center boasts 40km of groomed trails that cater to both novice and experienced skiers alike. New skiers will appreciate Bogus’ wide variety of programs and lessons with experienced PSIA-certified instructors who can help teach the ins and outs of Nordic skiing. Bogus Basin offers full alpine skiing and tubing operations as well as overnight lodging. Visit the Frontier Point Nordic Lodge for waxing advice, ski and snowshoe rentals, and to warm yourself up by the fire before hitting the trails
Explore a 200 year old forest featuring 100 ft. tall trees and panoramic views at the highest point of the Niagara Escarpment, set in a UNESCO biosphere reserve rich with wildlife. The unique geographic location provides an excellent elevation for snow conditions and consistent temperatures. Glide along 27 km. of cross country ski trails professionally groomed daily for both classic and skate styles. Snowshoe along 10km of dedicated pristine paths and across Southern Ontario’s longest 420 ft. Suspension Bridge with 10,000 sq. ft. views of south Georgian Bay. Trails are well marked, rated by level of difficulty and range from gently rolling slopes to steep climbs. Guided night snowshoe hikes, equipment rentals, waxing facilities, warm-up chalet and lessons available.
Come discover the natural beauty of Pineland Farms. Easy to access, Pineland Farms covers 5000 acres of pastoral farmland, rolling hills with remarable views of Mt. Washington and a river valley that meanders through stands of oak, birch and evergreen forests.
Mont-Sainte-Anne Cross-country Ski Center features 200 km of trails, including a 191 km network for skating stride, which makes it the largest cross-country ski center in North America! It is located only 7 km apart from the downhill area, where skiers have direct access to the cross-country network. It is nestled in the beautiful scenery of the Laurentian forest where skiers enjoy a great variety of tree species, including birch, maple, spruce and pine, alternating from one section to the other of the trail network. Many shelters are accessible by the trails, including our famous Chalet du Fondeur
ABR is full service ski touring center with 60km of trails located on over 1100 scenic acres of varied terrain along the Montreal River in Ironwood Michigan aka "Big Snow Country!"
We offer skate/classic combination trails along with singletrack classic and even snowshoeing and multi-use/skijoring trails.
We have a full service ski shop, including rentals and skiing instruction. We have lodging that ranges from trail side ski-in rustic cabins to our beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bath Hilltop House that accommodates up to 15 people.
Great Glen Trails is celebrating its 30th anniversary this winter.
You will be treated to stunning views of the northern presidential range, a top-of-the-charts outfitter shop, ski/snowshoe/fat bike rentals for all ages as well as a super friendly and accomplished Ski School staff.
With 20+ kilometers of trails groomed daily and another 20 kilometers of off-track skiing and snowshoeing, you should plan to spend a day here exploring. Try snow tubing or the Mt Washington SnowCoach for something different.
Dog-friendly snowshoe trails are available and so is onsite lodging at the Glen House Hotel.
Hardwood Ski and Bike has over 40 km of beautiful, rolling trails through hardwood and pine forests for cross-country skiing. The trail network consists of 8 different loops ranging from 3 km to 22 km. There is a trail for every level of ability, from beginner to elite racer on terrain that ranges from gently rolling to challenging. Hardwood grooms all of the trails for both Classic and Skate skiing, using the new, state of the art grooming equipment. This equipment allows us to groom in all snow conditions, no matter what. Voted 6 years in a row by Get Out There Magazine as the best cross-country ski facility in eastern Ontario.

The Outdfoor Center is fully ADA accessible, offers a full service rental shop, and a PSIA certified ski school. Relax and refuel by the warm wood stove, enjoy the great food, warm beverages and a cozy atmosphere.
The Nordic Heritage Center has over 20 kilometers of world-class cross
country ski trails designed by John Morton of Thetford, Vermont. In addition, we
offer 20 miles of single tracked mountain bike trails designed by Rich Edwards of
the International Mountain Biking Association. Maps of the ski or bike system are
available to download.
The Fort Kent Outdoor Center is a community managed recreational facility promoting outdoor trail based activities year round in the beauty of the St John Valley. Located right next door to downtown Fort Kent and Lonesome Pines Trails Alpine ski area, you are just minutes from getting away from it all. With primary funding from the Libra Foundation, the Outdoor Center was established in 1999 as a training center for aspiring Nordic and Biathlon athletes, and the host of multiple National and International Nordic and Biathlon events. The 3 Km roller ski loop is one of the best in North America to give you a safe workout, and is sure to give you thrills to remember on skis, bike or roller blades. The addition of several miles of Snowshoe and Mountain Bike trails in the past few years has added more recreational options to get our members and visitors out into the beauty of the Maine Outdoors. With a full service XC Ski and Snowshoe shop, anyone can get off the couch, get outside, and get healthy during our long beautiful winters. Funding to run our facility comes from hosting various events, through annual memberships and generous donations, and daily trail fees. An amazing group of Volunteers dedicate countless hours to maintain the beautiful trails and facilities to make sure your first visit will make you want to come back for more fun and peaceful solitude.
