The Bogus Basin Nordic Center boasts 40km of groomed trails that cater to both novice and experienced skiers alike. New skiers will appreciate Bogus’ wide variety of programs and lessons with experienced PSIA-certified instructors who can help teach the ins and outs of Nordic skiing. Bogus Basin offers full alpine skiing and tubing operations as well as overnight lodging. Visit the Frontier Point Nordic Lodge for waxing advice, ski and snowshoe rentals, and to warm yourself up by the fire before hitting the trails
The Wood River Valley is truly Nordic Town USA come winter. Boasting fantastic beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain, excellent snow for Nordic skiing, and almost perpetual sunny skies, the area offers over 200km of expertly groomed Nordic trails each year. The BCRD manages, maintains and grooms over 160km of terrain including over 50km of trails around Galena Lodge located in the heart of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area.
Discover some of the best cross-country skiing in America, with unmatched trail quality, training programs, clinics, rentals and a state-of-the-art clubhouse for skiers of all levels. With over 40 km of trails groomed daily for skate and classic skiing, the Sun Valley Nordic & Snowshoe Center provides a head-clearing experience. Our trail system maintains consistent conditions without leaving you gasping for air. Ski and snowshoe equipment for all ages is available for rent.
Galena lodge is a community owned day-lodge nestled in the Rocky Mountains 23 miles north of the Sun Valley Resort and Ketchum, Idaho. The lodge is located in the heart of the Boulder Mountains. We’re open daily in the winter and summer seasons serving lunch, special dinners, and operating as home base for cross-country skiers, mountain bikers, and hikers. We offer overnight lodging only in our semi-backcountry yurts.
