Snow Mountain Ranch’s Nordic Center has more than 120 kilometers of world-class terrain for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing in the Colorado Rockies for everyone from first-time recreational participants to elite racers.
Beginners can ski on short easy loops around the Nordic Center while the experienced racer can train on longer expert trails with steeper climbs through forested terrain. Beyond cross country skiing, individuals, families, and groups can browse the extensive selection of rental equipment and gear available for purchase from the Nordic Center.

Our 15km of groomed trails around the ranch are great for classic and skate skiing. The terrain is geared towards a beginner or intermediate skier, with loops taking you through open meadows, over babbling creeks, and into the aspens.

There are six Nordic Ski areas in the Telluride Region. Trails at Priest Lake and Trout Lake are maintained by Telluride Nordic Association. The 100% volunteer Pagosa Nordic Club maintains FREE groomed trails for all ability levels for skate & classic cross country skiing as well as snowshoeing. Our Pagosa Springs business sponsors provide ski and snowshoe rentals, ski lessons, shopping, lodging and dining in town. Our trails surround the town and the area. Located on the Peninsula Recreation Area, the Frisco Nordic Center is just minutes from Frisco’s charming Main Street, offering an excellent high altitude facility for skate skiing, classic cross-country skiing and even snowshoeing, all with exceptional views of peaks in every direction. Ashcroft Ski Touring operates out of the Ashcroft Adventure Lodge at the end of Castle Creek Road. At the Adventure Lodge, you may rent classic cross-country ski equipment, skate ski gear, or snowshoes. Individual and group lessons, as well as snowshoe and ski tours are available everyday. The winter season runs Thanksgiving day until early April.

The Aspen Cross Country Center is the only full service cross country ski and snowshoe center in Aspen, located on the trails at the Aspen Golf Course, and conveniently at the heart of the Aspen/Snowmass Nordic Trail System.
For 37 winters, the Ute Mountaineer has owned and operated the Aspen Cross Country Center. With more than 90 km of free trails of the Aspen Snowmass Nordic Trail System right outside the front door, the center is a convenient spot to demo gear, take a lesson or head out on a guided tour. After skiing, you can relax in our lounge with hot drinks, snacks, cross country videos and reading material. In addition to our retail shop and ski school, we offer expert ski tuning and repair services, a public waxing room and men’s & women’s locker rooms.

Grand Mesa Nordic Council (GMNC) is a community-supported, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting fun, safe, cross-country skiing experiences for skiers of all ages and abilities.
The high elevation of GMNC’s Nordic areas provide for one of the longest ski seasons in the U.S. The groomed ski trails run through the wilderness of Grand Mesa National Forest at three locations: Skyway, County Line and Ward.

We're a tax exempt nonprofit organization that offers local cross country skiing to the Pikes Peak region, including ski rentals. When we have snow we create groomed ski trails, both classic and skate, on the Woodmoor Country Club golf course in Monument, CO. Rather than drive 4+ hours round-trip into the mountains, we offer skiing to the public close to home along the front range. Ski lessons, free learn-to-ski student group lessons, and local ski races are available when conditions and time permit.

There's something for skiers of all ages and skill levels in the 28+ kilometer trail system. Those new to cross-country skiing will find Lazy Eight to be just the ticket. Those looking for a longer tour can wind their way up to Finlandia, graced with beautiful places to stop and catch your breath along the way.

FREE and open to the public. Nordic skiers of all abilities are offered more than 15 kilometers of rolling, open terrain on the Town of Telluride Valley Floor Preserve. Enjoy world class conditions achieved by daily snowcat grooming. Trails are specifically designated and groomed for skiing, snow bikes, hiking and snow shoeing. Bikers, hikers and snowshoers are allowed only on the multi-use trails. Skiers are allowed on all trails. Please refer to maps and signage for trail usage.
Dogs are not allowed on any Valley Floor Preserve Nordic or multi-use trails, with the exception of Boomerang Road. Starting at the Shell Station up to Country Club Drive in the Town of Mountain Village.
There are three main trailheads. From east to west, these are Mahoney, Boomerang, and Lawson. Parking is available on Mahoney Drive or Carhenge skier lot, just one block away. Limited parking available at Boomerang Road trailhead. Ample parking available at Lawson Hill.
Rollo Nordic Trail Grooming is the exclusive snow grooming contractor for all Town of Telluride Valley Floor Winter Trails. All grooming of Valley Floor trails occurs between dawn and dusk. Please be aware of equipment operations and yield to groomers at all times.

Nestled in the snowy mountains of Grand County is a passionate group of cross-country ski enthusiasts called The Grand Nordic Ski Club. The club was formed in 1993, combining Fraser Valley Nordic with other Nordic entities in the valley in order to reflect the broader mission - to serve all Nordic skiing enthusiasts in Grand county. Dedicated; The Grand Nordic Ski Club is the heart and soul of cross-country skiing in Grand County. Our members tirelessly promote the sport through education, ski touring, racing, youth sponsorships, and more. We are blazing trails so people of all abilities can enjoy the magic of our mountain winters. For over 30 years, the club has preserved a beloved pastime for generations to come.
The non-profit club currently has about 300 members and invites newcomers to join. The Uncompahgre Nordic Association (UNA) is a community-based, non-profit organization (501 (c) (3)) composed of skiing enthusiasts dedicated to the enhancement of Nordic skiing for individuals of all ages and abilities in the Montrose Area. UNA encourages safe, enjoyable skiing on the Uncompahgre Plateau while protecting the natural beauty of the area.
The trails are maintained for non-motorized, over-snow recreation with a focus on Nordic skiers. We encourage all users to enjoy our community trails and respect others.
Use of these trails does not include snowmobiles, E-Bikes or other motorized vehicles.
