The Relais Plein Air du Parc de la Gatineau (The Relais) is your gateway for cross country skiing, snowshoeing or fatbiking in the Gatineau Park. Managed by the National Capital Commission (http://ncc-ccn.gc.ca/places/gatineau-park), Gatineau Park has one of the largest networks of cross-country ski trails in North America with varying difficulty from easy to most difficult. It features over 200 kilometres of trails for classic cross-country skiing, which includes over 125 kilometres of trails shared with skate skiers, and 53 kilometres of back-country ski trails. Enjoy classic cross-country and skate skiing in a beautiful conservation area, located just minutes from downtown Ottawa–Gatineau.
The primary trails are groomed at least four times a week and patrolled by professional and volunteer patrollers. The Relais has a waxing room with ski benches with individual outlet for those wishing to maximize their ski experience. A cozy Café with fireplace and sofa is open 7 days to top your ski experience with a good quality coffee and lunch at an affordable price. The Relais rents classic skis and is planning to have fatbikes for the 2019-2020 season and sells the daily passes to access the ski trails. Ski lessons and shuttles for linear long distances to the Relais can be arranged in advance.
There is an outdoor free parking lot with 172 spaces.
