description For the cross-country skier, Duluth offers some of the best trails in the state. Duluth’s hills, ravines, and creeks create pockets of wilderness into which the city has tucked 70 kilometers of trails. Wherever you live or work you’re probably less than ten minutes from a trailhead.
Six city trails provide 70K for every level of skier. Among them are Chester Bowl, Hartley, Lester/Amity, Magney-Snively, Piedmont and the Spirit Mountain Nordic Center.
It’s heaven for skiers. In the middle of the city, you are immersed in wilderness and yet minutes away from your favorite latte or hot chocolate.
