Craftsbury is often one of the few cross-country ski areas open with snow thanks to unique local climatic conditions, intensive snow farming, and lakes which are skiable with very little snow. The Craftsbury Outdoor Center's trail grooming with Pisten Bully Snow Cat, tiller, and track setter is second to none.
The TD Banknorth Craftsbury Marathon is February 2nd in 2008.
