description The BCRD, a non-profit organization, manages a core trail system in the Wood River Valley. The Harriman Trail, in partnership with the Sawtooth National Forest, is a year-round, hard-surfaced trail that, in the summer, provides recreation opportunities for hikers, bikers, and equestrians. During the winter, the Harriman Trail is groomed for cross-country skiing, and is the main artery for Nordic Town USA and venue of the Boulder Mountain Tour. Nordic ski trails are also found at Galena Lodge, Lake Creek, Croy Nordic, Wood River Trail and Alturas Lake. Nordic Town USA is a Nordic Olympic Training Site.
