Voted "Best Olympic Legacy Venue" by Salt Lake City Weekly and Top Ten cross country ski area in North America by Forbes Traveler. Start out on City Slicker, the perfect beginner trail; cruise on Pony Express and Goin' Home; then tackle Olympic 5k and Rollercoaster.
Then take the kids tubing.

The Mountain Dell Recreation Area Cross Country Ski Area is maintained and operated by volunteers from The Utah Nordic Alliance (TUNA). The ski area is located adjacent to Interstate 80 exit 134. It is 6 miles east of Salt Lake City and 15 miles west of Park City, Utah on the Mountain Dell golf course. Approximately 10 kilometers of track in 6 loops offer classic and skate skiing for all ability levels. Detailed maps, weather and grooming conditions are available at www.utahnordic.com. Daily track fee or annual trail pass required.

Sundance offers the rare combination of backcountry wilderness experience, wide groomed trails, and separate snowshoeing trails. Skiers & snowshoers share the woods with golden eagles, red-tailed hawks, elk, mule deer, and the ever present moose. The higher trails at Sundance provide dramatic views uninterrupted by civilization. Moonlight skiing during full moon phases night before & night of. Night owling snowshoeing experience with a naturalist. Women's Day twice a year (taught by women for women, all levels).
