Lake Placid’s complete Nordic center. Celebrating 30+ years. Wind-protected trails wind through balsam & fir forests, all abilities. Trails connect to Mt. Van Hoevenberg’s Olympic trails and the Jack Rabbit trails. Lunch on the Sun Deck overlooking spectacular views. Our Cascade Ski Shop has everything from backcountry gear & advice on the High Peak’s region to recreational, touring gear and clothing. Try our equipment before buying! Racing inventory, too. Full bar. Saturday full moon ski parties (skiing, bonfires, refreshments, adult beverages, live band, hundreds of happy people!). 6 room rustic pine bunkhouse, 4 baths, and breakfast. Discover the Hudson Valley this winter! Glide through forests and meadows accented with lakes, streams and stone walls. Gentle terrain for beginners and plenty of challenges for the more advanced skiier. Mapped and marked trails are groomed for classic and skate skiing. Dedicated snowshoe paths are available, too. A tubing hill nicely complements family trips. Rental gear is on a first come, first served basis. Enjoy the atmosphere in the Acorn Cafe or sip hot chocolate in front of the outdoor fireplace. Public rail transport from Manhattan is available. Taxi arrangements to FWP must be made before arriving in Cold Spring. Conditions permitting, we are open daily. Weekdays:10am-4:30pm. Weekends and holidays:9am-430pm. Gate closes at 5pm. Weather changes quickly in the Hudson Valley, please call before traveling. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are available for overnight and day visitors on over 35 miles of trails throughout the Mountain House property, weather permitting. Enjoy stunning views of the Shawangunk Mountains. The Ski Shop has equipment for rent and trail maps, and our staff is happy to offer tips on what trail is right for your level of ability. Ski or snowshoe alongside Lake Mohonk, head for Sky Top Tower with its breathtaking views, or choose from the many scenic routes that traverse the property. Pineridge XC Ski Area is 35 minutes east of Albany in East Poestenkill, NY, nestled in the foothills of the Taconic and Berkshire Mountains. Ski and snowshoe trails wind through 900 acres of private forest along the picturesque Poestenkill Creek, climb to elevations of 1746' and offer views of the Berkshires. Pineridge provides great skiing and snowshoeing for all ages and abilities. 57 Km of trails - 35 Km groomed and tracked, 15 Km ungroomed for snowshoeing, 7 Km back country skiing, 4 Km of lighted trails.
