CCSAA Annual Conference 2017

SilverStar logo

Please join CCSAA at its Annual Conference April 4 & 5 at Silver Star Mountain Resort in BC, Canada.  The Conference is a great opportunity to not only listen to relevant speakers within our Nordic community, but to spend time with other owner/operators of cross country ski areas,  to get some great spring skiing on the silver star trails and share ideas of what works and does not work.

This year’s event will be packed with interactive grooming and maintenance elements as well as fat bike, hospitality and capital expenditure seminars.

Again this year will be opportunities to book one on one sessions with may presenters to further discuss topics and how they relate to your specific ski area.

New this year will be member opportunities to shape the future CCSAA standards.  A 40 minute time block will be created to allow working groups to discuss a topic each and present recommendations that CCSAA should adopt for 2017.  Working groups will include:  Fat Bike Best Practices, Ski Patrol and Safety and Trail Reporting Standards.

The $425 US for CCSAA member ski areas & exhibitors. $475 for non-members. $250 for media.  The cost includes attendance at all events and meals for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Private Workshops

The convention committee created a packed agenda with great educational opportunities complete with one-on-one meeting opportunities with several of the presenters to review your resorts specifics.  Details coming soon.

To be able to sit down one on one with the exhibitors was really helpful.  I had my website analyzed and now I know what areas to improve upon.  I can imagine Grey Suit Retail picked up a few new accounts out of this conference.  It was a soft and non-intimidating approach – soooo valuable.
